Non-Profit Status

The Garfield High School Foundation was incorporated as a not-for-profit entity in the State of Washington in 2003.

The Alliance for Education (Tax ID: 91-1508191) is the fiscal sponsor for the Foundation, so the Federal tax-exempt status of the Foundation arises from its relationship to AFE. The GHSF assets are held by AFE as a "donor-advised fund".
